Jenny Johnston, L.Ac. Dipl.O.M, FABORM
Jenny is a California Board Licensed Acupuncturist, Nationally Certified Diplomat in Oriental Medicine, and Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine. She enjoys planting seeds of wellness in her patients and empowering people to take an active role in helping these seeds to grow and flourish. Jenny is especially passionate about caring for women in preparation for and during their perinatal year. In 2010, she completed a Doula training before volunteering as an Acupuncturist and Doula at a birthing and community health clinic called Yayasan Bumi Sehat in Bali, Indonesia. She has studied acupuncture for the childbearing year extensively with pregnancy and childbirth expert Raven Lang, M.S., L.Ac, with labor and delivery expert Claudia Citkovitz, M.S., L.Ac., at Lutheran Medical Center in New York, and through mentoring with Debra Betts, Sarah Budd, Zena Kochur and Claudia Citkovitz in their Maternity, Acupuncture, Mentoring and Peer Support Group. She advanced her studies in the area of fertility by working directly with expert Dr. Angela Wu, L.Ac., in San Francisco, as a practitioner at Revive Acupuncture for Fertility in Fremont, and through becoming a Fellow of the American Board of Reproductive Medicine (FABORM). She is a member of Santa Cruz Birth Network and Birthpoint Acupuncture Group, and strives to help women achieve a safe, healthy, and satisfying transition into motherhood. On a personal note, Jenny deeply enjoys mothering two wonderful daughters, beekeeping & gardening, and learning about her nature and how to align her life with that nature.
Lucy Naylor
Inspired by her own pregnancy and early motherhood, Lucy decided to specifically focus her skills on supporting women to look, feel and be healthy during pregnancy, postpartum and beyond. Lucy also works to support women (and men) with fertility issues.
Lucy not only offers Acupuncture but also, Tui-Na (Chinese Medical Massage) Cupping, Moxibustion, Acupressure, Gua Sha and Cosmetic Acupuncture.
Based in Manchester in the UK, in conjunction with highly regarded doula, Tracey Sutton, Lucy runs clinics from The Bump and Baby Hideout in Sale and from her own private treatment room in Didsbury.
Luanne Epstein, DACM
Dr. Luanne Epstein is a Doctor of Chinese Medicine with a focus on Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Massage, and Dietary Therapy. She has been a specialist in Obstetrics for the past 11 years. In addition to her expertise as a Doctor of Chinese Medicine, she is a qualified Doula, Breastfeeding Counsellor, Yoga teacher, author and proud mother of two adult sons. Dr. Epstein is a member of the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa (AHPCSA). She has more than two decades of experience working as a healthcare practitioner and has done thorough research for her new book: After Birth: A Mothers Natural Guide to Postpartum Health and Happiness (2020).

Sarah Tewhey, L.Ac
Sarah is a Licensed Acupuncturist, Herbalist and doula who has been in private practice on Mt. Desert Island, Maine since 2009. Sarah specializes in reproductive wellness throughout life with a focus on pregnancy, birth and the postpartum and loves watching families grow! She has attended both in and out of hospital births since 2011 and spent two years mentoring with Certified Professional Midwives to learn the art of the midwifery model of care.
Prior to opening her private practice Sarah was the Program Coordinator of Acupuncturists Without Borders during the effort in post-Katrina New Orleans. Through this experience she developed a commitment to creating access to high quality integrative healthcare in rural and underserved areas. As a rural healthcare provider on the Maine coast, Sarah works closely with midwives and her local critical access hospital to provide collaborative maternal healthcare to the families in her community.
Sarah lives on Mt. Desert Island with her artist husband, two sons and small flock of chickens amidst the constant renovation of their 1885 farmhouse.
Amy Mager DACM, Lic.Ac., Dipl.OM NCCAOM, FABORM
Amy has been licensed to practice acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine since 1990. Amy graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brandeis University, and earned her MS in Chinese Medicine from ACTCM in 1989 and her Doctorate in Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine and Integrative Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 2017.She apprenticed with midwife and acupuncturist. Raven Lang L.Ac. for two years. She has been in private practice in CA, MA & NY for over 30 years. Amy is a trained birth doula, childbirth educator, trained CLC, end of life doula and certified hypnotist (NGA). Amy holds a DACM from the Pacific College of Health Sciences, and is an ABORM, American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine Fellow. Amy has also completed in the MAMPS program.
She is the immediate past Chair of the Acupuncture Society of Massachusetts and serves as Public Policy Vice Chair of the American Society of Acupuncturists.
Amy has been published in the books Parenting From the Heart and Round the Circle as well as on Huffington Post. Amy has published two articles in the Pacific College of Oriental medicine newsletter and JASA. She has a bi-weekly radio segment with Bob Flaherty on WHMP, "Healing Outside the Box, Inside the Heart” as well as worked on legislation and advocacy in MA, NY and nationally in the US.
Sarah Strohan, R.Ac., TCM.P.
Sarah (she/her) studied acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at Pacific Rim College in Victoria, BC for 6 years. She is passionate about reproductive health, fertility and obstetrics, as well as internal medicine concerns, mental emotional health and chronic and acute pain.She guides her clients through their journey from a place of hope and understanding.
Recently Sarah has brought her enthusiasm and skills to the community of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada (Treaty 6 Territory). Where she is currently working towards her Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and practicing acupuncture and TCM.
Susan Wallmeyer, M.S., L.Ac.
Susan Wallmeyer is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist based in New York City, and has had a practice specializing in women's health since 2009. Susan enjoys seeing patients in her office as well as for home visits. She earned a B.S. in pre-medicine Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University where she fell in love with the study of science, nature and the human body, but while working part-time as a pharmacy technician realized a desire to help people improve their health through a more holistic approach.
As a result of her MAMPS coursework, Susan has been able to create the Perinatal Acupuncture Research Summaries site, detailing the current research literature for a variety of health topics in pregnancy. She is forever grateful to the MAMPS mentors for guiding her to more clarity in clinical decision making and evidence-informed practice.
Alyssa Huang, R.Ac
Alyssa Huang is a Registered Acupuncturist based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. She first obtained a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Calgary in 2004, then went on to graduate from the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Vancouver. While navigating pregnancy and motherhood for the first time, she realized the need for prenatal and postpartum care beyond what is traditionally provided. Alyssa has devoted a lot of her postgraduate education to studying evidence based obstetrical acupuncture and supporting mental/emotional health. Her passion lies in assisting birthing patients to experience each pregnancy in the most comfortable, safe way possible.
Tansy M. Briggs, DACM, Dipl.OM, L.OM, L.Ac
Dr. Tansy Briggs, Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) has been in clinical practice since 2002 and specializes in Fertility, Pregnancy, Postpartum and General Family Practice.
Dr. Briggs began her practice in 2002 in Santa Fe, NM working with an integrative group specializing in pregnancy, fertility and pediatrics. During these years of her practice, she would also accompany midwives to home births. In 2004, she took over an established family practice in Albuquerque, NM, as a solo practitioner, treating adults and children for 7 years. In 2011, Tansy sold her private practice and moved to Philadelphia where she currently resides. Tansy works with a larger group practice specializing in fertility, pregnancy and postpartum in Bryn Mawr, Pa.
Tansy completed her Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) degree through Pacific College of Health and Science (San Diego) in 2018. She is nationally certified as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (Dipl.OM) by the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine). Additionally, Tansy a licensed Practitioner of Oriental Medicine (L.OM) in Pennsylvania and licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in Colorado. She was a licensed Doctor of Oriental Medicine (DOM) in New Mexico (now inactive). Tansy obtained her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from Southwest Acupuncture College in 2001 in Santa Fe, NM. Prior to Acupuncture College, Tansy studied natural medicine for three years in Santa Fe via seminars and mentorships. Her bachelor’s degree is from Clark University in Worcester, MA. Prior to graduation, Tansy spent her last undergraduate year abroad at the University of East Anglia, UK.
Emilie Salomons Dr.TCM, R.Ac, FABORM, OBAAM, Doula
Emilie Salomons is a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and doula in Vancouver, Canada. First registered in 2005, for the past 10 years, she has been practicing out of Acubalance Wellness Centre, the leading integrative reproductive wellness centre in BC, Canada.
Emilie is the Co-President of the Obstetrical Acupuncture Association (OBAA), as well as a fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM). She has also co-developed the first Acupuncture training program for Midwives in Canada.
In 2015, Emilie became a cluster lead for Maternal Infant Health Canada, based out of the University of British Columbia. MIH Can is composed of a group of physicians, researchers and academics, whose aim is to find innovative ways to reduce maternal and infant mortality locally and around the world.
Kari-Ann Hubbard, Dipl. O.M. L.Ac.
Kari is a nationally board certified acupuncturist and herbalist specializing in women’s health, perinatal and postpartum care in the Greater Phoenix area. She graduated with her Masters in 2010 from Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture in Phoenix, Az and has since pursued post-graduate education in antenatal and postpartum care, infertility, palliative cancer care and women’s health and herbology. Her pursuit for holistic care led her to join Maternity Acupuncture Mentorship and Peer Support Group which provides educational and evidence based models of care with Chinese medicine to further antennal and postpartum care for women. She is an active board member for a non-profit organization Willow Wish that grants scholarships to families in Arizona that would like to choose a birth center experience.
Ciara McNiff, R.Ac.
Growing up surrounded by birth professionals, Ciara’s interest has evolved naturally over time to include a passion to support mothers, babies and new families. Her approach is informed by her extensive educational background across disciplines and her own birth experiences with her daughter and twin sons.
After completing a degree in Communication Studies with distinction, she embarked on a community development project in Suriname, South America where she ended up developing, through serendipity and an informal mentorship with a herbal master, a passion for Chinese Medicine. On return to Canada, she graduated from the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Victoria, BC with a diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine. In her acupuncture and Chinese Medicine practice over the past 15 years, Ciara has helped countless women on their fertility journeys, bringing an approach grounded in traditional Chinese Medical theory while integrating new and pertinent western information. Ciara consistently seeks out additional training for both self development and to enhance her treatments offered to clients.
Ali Jopp, R.Ac, R.TCMP
Ali Jopp is a registered acupuncturist and TCM herbalist living in Kjipuktuk (Halifax, NS). As a mother, she has particular interest in treating maternal health and wellbeing through acupuncture. As such, she has been teaching midwives in Nova Scotia how to incorporate acupressure into prenatal care and how to use it during labour.
As someone who grew up with economic insecurity and family members with mental health concerns, she considers how early childhood experiences, epigenetic trauma, and systemic discrimination can have ongoing impacts on health and wellbeing.
